Sami Zayn Pins Braun Strowman To Win Intercontinental Championship At WWE Elimination Chamber
Braun Strowman‘s Intercontinental Championship reign is over just as it began.
Facing a 3 vs. 1 disadvantage at Elimination Chamber, Strowman wasn’t able to overcome the odds against Sami Zayn, Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro in his first televised title defense. In the end, it was Zayn who got the win by pinning Strowman and as a result, is the new champion.

This is Zayn’s first title win ever since he held the NXT Championship from 2014 to 2015. Strowman had held the title for a little more than a month after beating Nakamura on an episode of SmackDown. Afterwards, a rematch was initially set for Elimination Chamber, but at the contract signing, the match was turned into a handicap match after Strowman said he was prepared to face all three of them, then signed the contract.
