Report: Jarjis Danho Faces Tai Tuivasa At UFC 251
A heavyweight division attraction has been added to UFC 251 as Jarjis Danho is in action against Tai Tuivasa.
MMA Junkie reported the bout, who’s spot on the card isn’t known at this time.
Danho (5-1-1-1NC) is winless thus far when competing in the UFC, dropping a bout to Daniel Omielanczuk and fighting Christian Columbo to a majority draw. Danho is also competing for the first time in over three years, as the fighter has been dealing with a myriad of injuries. Danho has picked up five wins as a professional MMA fighter and four of them came by way of KO/TKO.
Tuivasa (9-3-0) enters the contest riding a three fight losing streak, dropping bouts to Junior Dos Santos, Blagoy Ivanov and Sergey Spivak. Tuivasa hasn’t picked up a win in almost two years, with that last victory coming over Andrei Arlovski at UFC 225. Tuivasa has competed a total of twelve times as a professional MMA fighter and just two of those bouts went the distance.
UFC 251 takes place on Saturday, June 6 from the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
