King Corbin Uses Deontay Wilder’s Excuse To Justify Loss To Roman Reigns At WWE Super ShowDown

If Deontay Wilder can use his entrance gear as an excuse to justify his loss to Tyson Fury, then why shouldn’t King Corbin do the same?

At WWE Super ShowDown, Corbin suffered a loss to Roman Reigns in a steel cage match. But instead of tipping his cap (or crown) to Reigns, Corbin said his entrance gear was the reason he lost the match. Since the entrance gear was heavy and took a toll on him, his legs were shot three minutes into the match.

For boxing fans, this statement is nearly identical to the one Wilder provided in an interview with Yahoo Sports days after he dropped the WBC Heavyweight title to Fury in Las Vegas. Wilder said his entrance gear, which according to him, weighed at least 40 pounds, were the reason his legs were shot by the time he stepped into the ring. But instead of three minutes, Wilder was knocked down by Fury three rounds into the fight en route to a seventh-round stoppage victory for Fury.
