WRESTLE-1 Suspending Activities Indefinitely On April 1, Keiji Mutoh Comments
WRESTLE-1 will be coming to a close on April 1.
The promotion announced that it will “suspend its activities indefinitely” following the event at Korakuen Hall on Wednesday, Apr. 1. No reason was given as to why activities are suspended. WRESTLE-1 began in 2013 and is based out of Japan. Former WRESTLE-1 Champions include Masayuki Kono, Keiji Muto, T-Hawk, and Katsuhiko Nakajima.

The promotion put out the following statement:
We would like to report that the professional wrestling organization “WRESTLE-1” will suspend its activities indefinitely at the end of the Korakuen Hall Games in Tokyo on Wednesday, April 1, 2020.
Thank you to all the fans who supported us, the people who supported the organization and the players, and all the concerned parties. Sorry for the sudden report.
Due to the suspension of activities, all Wrestle One players will be retired on March 31, 2020 (Tuesday).
Both players and staff are willing to run with all their strength until the end.

During a press conference, Chairman Keiji Mutoh said he was unable to “get out of the red” since the promotion opening in 2013 and admitted he may have been out of his depth in running a wrestling company.
