Tessa Blanchard To Defend IMPACT World Title Against Taya Valkyrie On 3/3 IMPACT Wrestling

History will be made on the Mar. 3 episode of IMPACT as Tessa Blanchard will defend the IMPACT World Title against Taya Valkyrie.

The match was officially announced by IMPACT Wrestling on Wednesday. This will mark the first time in history two women have competed for the IMPACT World Title. Blanchard and Valkyrie have a long history as rivals in the Knockouts division. Valkyrie’s record-setting Knockouts Title reign began at IMPACT Homecoming 2019 when she defeated Blanchard. Valkyrie would go on to hold the title for 377 days.

More recently, Valkyrie teamed with Ace Austin to defeat Blanchard & Trey. Taya also cost Tessa a chance at becoming X Division Champion on Tuesday, interfering in her match against Austin.

Also announced for next Tuesday’s episode of IMPACT is The North vs. TJP & Fallah Bahh, Su Yung vs. Havok in a No DQ match, Joey Ryan vs. Acey Romero, and Moose vs. Petey Williams.
