Becky Lynch Responds To Jon Jones’ WWE Comments: “It’s Not As Simple As Just Walking In Here”

Becky Lynch would invite Jon Jones to go to WWE, but only if he’s truly serious about it.

The current UFC Light Heavyweight champion had recently said a run in WWE is inevitable and Lynch, the current Raw Women’s Champion, took time to respond to those comments. Lynch was present at SoFi Stadium where WrestleMania 37 next year is scheduled to take place and said going to WWE isn’t something one can just walk in and do. Lynch is open to having Jones on WWE and even offers to show him the ropes, but is opposed to the idea if Jones is only doing it for easy money.

“I think people think this is a cakewalk. There’s nothing like what we do. It’s not as simple as just walking in here. You have to make a name for yourself and you have to be obsessed with this. You have to love this. This isn’t a thing where you have one fight every six months. This is a thing where you are fighting three, four, sometimes seven days a week, 52 weeks a year and for people to sometimes think it’s an easy thing they can just stroll into, it kind of irks me. It irks me. It does because I love this business. I love it more than anything. If [Jones] loves it like I do, well, then come along. I’ll show you the ropes. But if he doesn’t, if he just wants to make some easy money, this ain’t the way to do it,” Lynch said.

Jones’ comments can be seen below where he talks about his respect for WWE.

“I think it’s inevitable. I’ve always respected WWE, and I feel like the sports can be so similar. I have the size and athleticism and the following to transition over really well. To get the opportunity to just show up, even as a special guest, would be a dream come true,” Jones said.

MMA fighters coming to WWE isn’t a new concept as it was only a few months ago in which former UFC Heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez faced Brock Lesnar at the WWE Crown Jewel show last October.

Jones recently retained his UFC Light Heavyweight title with a unanimous decision victory over Dominick Reyes in the main event of UFC 247.
