UFC 247 Title Challengers Says They Will Offer Immediate Rematches

UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones defends the title against Dominick Reyes this weekend in the main event of UFC 247, while UFC Women’s Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko defends the gold against Katlyn Chookagian in the co-main event.

Reyes, who is getting his first shot at light heavyweight gold, says that he’ll give Jones an immediate rematch with a win at UFC 247.

“He definitely deserves a rematch after I beat him,” Reyes said at the UFC 247 Athlete Panel (via Nolan King & John Morgan of MMA Junkie).

Jones hasn’t been defeated in over a decade and his only loss came via disqualification to Matt Hamill at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale.

Chookagian echoes the sentiments of Reyes, saying she’ll give Shevchenko an immediate rematch with a victory at UFC 247.

“Absolutely, I think any time there’s a dominant champ and they lose, I think they deserve that. So yeah, I’ll give Valentina a rematch,” says Chookagian.

UFC 247 takes place on Saturday, February 8 from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas with Jon Jones and Dominick Reyes headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
