Jarrell Miller Joins Top Rank, Nordine Oubaali vs. Nonito Donaire Update | Fight-Size Boxing Update
Here’s your fight-size boxing update for January 31, 2020:
– Jarrell Miller, who was set to fight Anthony Joshua last year before Miller failed multiple drug tests ended that bout, has signed a multi-fight promotional deal with Top Rank. Miller is co-promoted by Greg Cohen Promotions and Salita Promotions and will make his Top Rank on ESPN debut in 2020.
– A deal was reached between WBO junior middleweight champion Patrick Teixeira and mandatory challenger Brian Castano has been reached. The fight is expected to take place in the coming months but no further details have been announced.
– TGB Promotions won a purse bid for the WBC bantamweight title fight between Nordine Oubaali and Nonito Donaire with a winning bid of $401,000.
– The card for the February 28 ShoBox: The New Generation tripleheader has been announced, taking place at Sam’s Town Live in Las Vegas. Here are the bouts set for the telecast:
- Malik Hawkins vs. Keith Hunter
- Richardson Hitchins vs. Nick DeLomba
- Kevin Newman II vs. Kalvin Richardson
– WBA International junior welterweight titleholder Anthony Fowler will fight on the undercard of the March 7 Matchroom Boxing card from the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England. The card will be headlined by a fight between Scott Quigg and Jono Carroll.
– Gary Antuanne Russell and Antonio Russell (brothers of WBC featherweight champion Gary Russell Jr.) will have separate fights on the non-televised undercard of the February 8 PBC card from Allentown, Pennsylvania. Russell Jr. headlines that card on Showtime against Tugstsogt Nyambayar.

– BKFC announced its upcoming show in Wichita, Kansas City on March 14. The main event will feature the BKFC debut of unbeaten boxer and 2016 Olympic bronze medalist Nico Hernandez. Co-main event will have Dave Rickels in action and Sam Shewmaker will fight in a special attraction.
