Report: Mickie James Helped Put Women’s Royal Rumble Together
WWE has many producers backstage who help put together matches. And when it comes to the Royal Rumble, a number of hands were needed to construct the bout.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Michael Hayes, Tyson Kidd, Adam Pearce, Mickie James and Triple H all helped in putting together the Women’s Royal Rumble this past Sunday. Triple H reportedly had input the day of the show and helped make it flow better.
Hayes is a longtime producer in WWE while Kidd was hired as a full-time producer in 2017 after a neck injury cost him his in-ring career. Pearce signed with NXT as a trainer in 2015 and was then moved to a producer role on the main roster. James is currently sidelined with a torn ACL and has done commentary work while injured. She competed in both the 2018 and 2019 Women’s Royal Rumbles.
Charlotte Flair stood above the rest in the 2020 Women’s Royal Rumble, adding another accolade to her list. The bout was well-received by fans who praised the flow and moments throughout. You can find full results from the show by clicking here.
