Report: Former UFC Fighter Desmond Green Jailed After Violating Terms Of Release

Former UFC fighter Desmond Green is awaiting trial after being involved in a car accident on August 18 of 2018 that would claim the lives of two women, while injuring several others. Green was hit with a DUI manslaughter charge since the former UFC star was intoxicated at the time of the tragic accident.

However, it has been reported by Aaron Bronsteter of TSN that Green has surrendered to authorities this past Wednesday and is currently incarcerated after violating those terms. The violations occurred after Green was accused of driving without a license, which is considered a felony charge in Florida after a third offense.

It didn’t take long for Green to rack up three offenses because the fighter was cited for driving without a license and for running red lights on September 4, September 17 and October 25 of last year. One of the terms Green had to oblige by for his release was to not drive, which the former UFC star obviously violated on multiple occasions. Green has had his $194,000 bond revoked and it is unknown if or when he’ll be released before the upcoming trial.

Green’s last professional MMA fight took place at UFC Fight Night Rochester in May of 2019, as he scored a unanimous decision win over Charles Jourdain.
