Report: Deron Winn Faces Gerald Meerschaert At UFC 248

A middleweight division attraction has been added to UFC 248 as Deron Winn is in action against Gerald Meerschaert

Marcel Dorff of MMA DNA reported the bout, but its spot on the card isn’t known at this moment.

Winn (6-1-0) has won just one of two bouts under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Eric Spicely at UFC Fight Night Greenville. Winn is also looking to rebound from his first professional MMA defeat, which came against Darren Stewart at UFC Fight Night Boston. Winn has picked up a total of six wins as a professional MMA fighter and four of them came by way of KO/TKO.

Meerschaert (30-12-0) has won just one of his last four in the UFC, with that lone win coming over Trevin Giles at UFC Fight Night Newark. Meerschaert is also winless thus far on UFC pay-per-view events, having dropped a bout to Thiago Santos at UFC 213. Meerschaert has competed a total of forty two times as a professional MMA fighter and thirty of those bouts ended by submission.

UFC 248 takes place on Saturday, March 7 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Israel Adesanya and Yoel Romero headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
