Report: Daniel Rodriguez Replaces Ramazan Emeev At UFC Fight Night Rio Rancho
Ramazan Emeev has been pulled from UFC Fight Night Rio Rancho for undisclosed reasons, replacing him against Tim Means is Daniel Rodriguez.
ESPN first reported the card change, but the bouts spot on said card isn’t known at this time.
Means (29-11-1-1NC) has won three of his last eight under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Alex Garcia, Ricky Rainey and Thiago Alves. Means hasn’t put a winning streak together in over four years and that last streak lasted for two fights. Means has picked up twenty nine wins as a professional MMA fighter and nineteen of them came by way of KO/TKO.
Rodriguez (9-1-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this bout and does so on the strength of a five fight winning streak. Rodriguez competed on Dana White’s Contender Series Season 3, Episode 6, defeating Rico Farrington by unanimous decision. Rodriguez has picked up nine wins as a professional MMA fighter and five of them came by way of KO/TKO.
UFC Fight Night Rio Rancho takes place on Saturday, February 15 from the Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho, New Mexico with Corey Anderson and Jan Blachowicz headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
