Report: Ryan Scope Injured, Off Bellator Dublin
Next months Bellator Dublin card has taken a hit as Ryan Scope is reportedly out of a scheduled bout against Paul Redmond.
Jake Smith of Fight & Talk, citing Scope’s Instagram stories page, reported the news.
There is no word yet on the nature of the injury suffered by Scope or how long the fighter is expected to be out of action for. Redmond is expected to remain on the card at this time, as Bellator MMA officials are seeking a new opponent for him to fight.
Redmond (15-8-0) has won two of three in Bellator MMA, with those wins coming over Sergio De Jesus Santos and Charlie Leary. Redmond went winless during a two fight stint in the UFC, having dropped bouts to Mirsad Bektic and Robert Whiteford. Redmond went undefeated during his stint as an amateur MMA fighter, which includes a win over Artem Lobov.
Bellator Dublin takes place on Saturday, February 22 from the 3 Arena in Dublin, Ireland with James Gallagher and Cal Ellenor headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on the Bellator App.
