Report: The Miz To Host Upcoming USA Network Show This Summer

The Miz is getting his shot as a television host.

According to The Wrap, The Miz will host an upcoming USA Network show called “Cannonball” that is set to premiere in the summer. The show will run for 10 episodes and will feature contestants from across America who face off in the “biggest, wettest, slippery-est water sports competition ever created.”

Miz will be joined by co-host and Emmy Award-winning television host Rosci Diaz and sideline reporter and LA-based comedian Simon Gibson. The series was created by John de Mol, who serves as executive producer along with Shye Sutherland, Keith Geller, Bernie Schaeffer, Stijn Bakkers and Kevin Wehrenberg.

This isn’t the first time a former WWE Champion has hosted a competitive television show. John Cena has hosted “American Grit” on FOX as well as the “Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?” revival on Nickelodeon. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is also the host of NBC’s “Titan Games,” with the show being renewed for a second season months ago.

As far as his current work is concerned, Miz wrestles on Friday Night SmackDown on FOX. The second season of Miz’s reality show “Miz & Mrs.” will premiere on January 29 on the USA Network.
