AJ Styles: I Was Never The Leader Of Bullet Club
Though it looked as if AJ Styles was the leader of Bullet Club once Prince Devitt (Finn Balor) left the group, AJ disagrees with that notion.
Speaking to Busted Open Radio, AJ was reflecting on his decade when Bullet Club came up. Host David LeGreca insisted Styles was the leader of the group as he was always front and center. But Styles doesn’t believe that was the case.
“You perceived me as the leader because I had the mic in my hand and the championship around my waist. I think the reason why that group of us was so fun is because there wasn’t someone as our leader. I always said, we are the Bullet Club. We don’t follow anyone. They follow us. I never wanted to be the leader. I wanted it to be a group and so no one person was the leader. I never called myself the leader of the Bullet Club. A lot of people list on Wikipedia (that I was the leader), but I can only say it so many times,” stated Styles.
Styles was ousted from his position in the group in 2016 when Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks laid him out. Styles officially signed with WWE after the angle. Omega & The Bucks discussed overthrowing Styles and taking over Bullet Club on a recent edition of Wrestlers Ordering Room Service. You can view their comments by clicking here.
