Allysin Kay Explains Why She Came Forward About Tessa Blanchard, Says Denial Shows Tessa Hasn’t Grown
On Saturday, Tessa Blanchard tried to unite women in the world of wrestling by tweeting, “Hey women, try supporting one another. Cool things happen.”
The tweet backfired, as she was called out by Allysin Kay for spitting on a black woman in Japan and calling her the N-word. From there, other wrestlers including Chelsea Green, Isla Dawn, and Priscilla Kelly accused Blanchard of bullying them or witnessed Blanchard bullying others during their time around her. Blanchard went on to deny the allegations. La Rosa Negra came forward and claimed she was the one who was spat on by Blanchard.
Some, including IMPACT wrestler Moose, questioned the timing of the accusations as Blanchard is set to make history when she challenges for the IMPACT World Title in the main event of IMPACT Hard to Kill. Kay took to social media to clear up why she decided to call out Tessa over the weekend and respond to Tessa’s denial
The reason I’ve never said anything until now is because it wasn’t my story to tell. I made it clear to La Rosa that I had her back, and today was the day she gave me permission. You can’t force someone to come forward, but you can be there for them. THAT is “supporting women”.

It’s never the “right time” to come forward. It will always be difficult. There are always reasons not to. But there is no statute of limitations on someone’s pain. So many people bury their secrets for years out of fear; some forever. I encourage you to not stay silent forever.

She will go down in history regardless, but it’s up to her whether she wants it to be for her talent, or if she wants to be the next Moolah.

Tessa has given no further public comment on the situation since the denial. She was pulled from an upcoming Heavy Metal Wrestling event over the allegations.
