Report: Martin Day Faces Randy Costa At UFC Fight Night Columbus
A bantamweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Columbus at Martin Day is in action against Randy Costa.
MMA Junkie first reported the bout, but its spot on the card isn’t known at the moment.
Day (8-3-0) is winless thus far under the UFC banner, dropping a bout to Pingyuan Liu at UFC Fight Night Beijing. Day also competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 6, dropping a bout to Jaime Alvarez by unanimous decision. Day has suffered three losses as a professional MMA fighter and two of them came by way of decision.
Costa (5-1-0) has won just one of two thus far in UFC competition, with that lone win coming over Boston Salmon at UFC Fight Night Boston. Costa previously competed four times in the Cage Titans promotion and all four wins came via first round finish. Costa has suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to Brandon Davis at UFC 236.
UFC Fight Night Columbus takes place on Saturday, March 28 from the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio with Francis Ngannou and Jairzinho Rozenstruik headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on ESPN.
