Women’s Title Match, Tag Team Bout, Moxley Segment Set For 1/8 AEW Dynamite
Our first match is official for the Jan. 8 episode of AEW Dynamite as Riho will defend the AEW Women’s Championship against Kris Statlander.
Riho retained the AEW Women’s Championship on Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite, defeating Britt Baker, Nyla Rose, and Hikura Shida in a four-way bout. Riho was victorious after picking up the pin on Baker. After the bout, Nyla put Riho through a table with a splash.

Kris Statlander was set to challenge Riho for the AEW Women’s Championship on Jan. 1, but a prior commitment took her out of the match. The four-way bout, with Statlander challenging the winner on Jan. 8, was booked in its place. Statlander won a #1 contenders bout on Dec. 18, defeating Baker to earn her title match.
Along with the AEW Women’s Championship bout, Jon Moxley will give his answer to Chris Jericho and the Inner Circle on Jan. 8. Jericho has offered Moxley not only a spot in the Inner Circle, but 49% equity in Inner Circle LLC and a new Ford GT as well.
