Dana White Says Conor McGregor Wants The BMF Championship

Former two division UFC champion Conor McGregor returns at UFC 246, facing Donald Cerrone in the main event of the show.

A third championship is seemingly on McGregor’s mind, as UFC President Dana White states that McGregor wants Jorge Masvidal’s BMF Championship.

“Conor wants that belt from Masvidal,” White said to ESPN. “I did it as a one off and like I said, it was fun. It was awesome. We’ll see what happens.”

Masvidal became the BMF Champion when he scored a third round TKO win over Nate Diaz in the main event of UFC 244.

The BMF Champion isn’t the only person that McGregor wants to face because White claims that McGregor is willing to fight anybody.

“This is the reason Conor McGregor is so intriguing and why so many fans love to watch him fight,” White said. “And you’ve got to love the fact that a guy is willing to fight anybody. Believe me, I’ve said this a million times, I’ll say it again, I’ve been in the trenches and when we’re standing the living room and fights pull out, Conor McGregor will fight anybody.”

UFC 246 takes place on Saturday, January 18 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Conor McGregor and Donald Cerrone headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
