Fedor Emelianenko Doesn’t Retire After Beating Immobile Rampage Jackson At Bellator 237
A dream fight happened probably a decade too late, but it happened nonetheless.
One of the greatest heavyweights of all-time in Fedor Emelianenko took on one of the greatest light heavyweights of all-time in Quinton “Rampage” Jackson at Bellator 237 in Tokyo, Japan.
In a miserable state of affairs, Rampage Jackson showed up beyond the 265 weight limit and performed like it. He was out of shape, immobile, and barely had any offense or even an attempt at it. Fedor quickly capitalized and peppered the former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion with a series of strikes. Deep into the first round, Fedor finished Rampage off. It left Fedor undefeated in Tokyo.

After the fight, Fedor Emelianenko announced his retirement — effectively ending his Bellator retirement tour that earlier this week, he said he might not retire on anyway. Well, at least it seemed that way, based on the interpreter provided. In the hours that followed, it was reported that things maybe weren’t so clear-cut.
Fedor clarified backstage he is NOT retired. Ideal scenario, he fights once again in U.S. and then has a final fight in Russia. No timeline in place. #Bellator237

Elsewhere on the show, Michael “Venom” Page completely jobbed out Shinsho Anzai via round 2 KO, Lorenz Larkin took Keita Nakamura to a unanimous decision where he won, and Goiti Yamauchi submitted Daron Cruickshank in round one. Michael Chandler also emerged victorious defeating Sidney Outlaw, who replaced Ben Henderson. Chandler was able to finish Outlaw in under a round.
