Corey Graves: Fans Whine About Brock Lesnar’s Absence Until He Returns & Reminds You He’s Awesome
Corey Graves doesn’t mind that Brock Lesnar is off television despite being WWE Champion. Lesnar hasn’t been seen since WWE Survivor Series and it is unknown when he will return to TV.
With Lesnar being away, Graves believes it opens up more chances for other superstars who wouldn’t get a chance if Brock was around every week.
“Brock Lesnar not being on TV frees up television time for other superstars to gain opportunities,” said Graves on WWE After The Bell. “For other championships to be elevated in value. It could be argued [The United States Title] is the most important title on Raw. When you don’t have a 20-minute Paul Heyman promo every single week, you have time for someone like Humberto Carrillo or Andrade to really have time to step up and shine. Brock being absent from television is not all bad. And, let’s be honest, when his music hits next time, you’re gonna freak out. Like always. Everyone complains, whines, and bitches about Brock not being there until Brock comes back and everyone goes ‘Oh yeah, we remember. Brock Lesnar is awesome.'”
Lesnar typically works the Big 4 pay-per-view events and the events held in Saudi Arabia, though he did make a couple of last-minute appearances at WWE Money in the Bank and Extreme Rules this year. He has not been announced for WWE Royal Rumble.
