Bandido Defeats Jeff Cobb, Wins PWG World Title At PWG Varsity
Bandido became the new PWG World Champion at PWG The Makings Of A Varsity Athlete, defeating Jeff Cobb in the main event.
Bandido won with the 21 Plex. After the bout, the two men embraced as streamers were thrown into the ring. This marks Bandido’s first reign as PWG World Champion. He won Battle of Los Angles, defeating Jonathan Gresham and David Starr in the finals, in September to earn the match against Cobb. Bandido and Cobb previously met at PWG Two Hundred in March with Cobb picking up the victory.
Cobb held the PWG World Title for 428 days, defeating WALTER to win the title and defending against Trevor Lee (Cameron Grimes), Bandido, and Jonathan Gresham. Cobb’s reign was the fourth longest PWG World Title reign in history.
