Report: Alexa Bliss Sidelined With Shoulder Injury
Alexa Bliss is sidelined again.
Former WWE Raw and Smackdown Women’s Champion, and recent WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Alexa Bliss hasn’t wrestled since losing the tag team titles at WWE Hell in a Cell a month ago. According to a new report from PWInsider, Bliss is injured.
The report states that Bliss has been dealing with a shoulder injury over the past month, and hasn’t been brought to recent episodes of WWE Smackdown. Outside of being involved in a physical angle the night after WWE Hell in a Cell, she’s not been on TV, and PWInsider says there isn’t a timetable for her return. Later that night, WWE Backstage said that she would return “soon.”
Bliss was pulled from an appearance at RingsideFest this past weekend, and was replaced by Becky Lynch.
In a curious move, Bliss and then-tag team partner Nikki Cross were both drafted separately by WWE Monday Night Raw, despite being eligible as a team. Subsequently, they were both just as confusingly traded to WWE Smackdown for “future considerations.” It was alluded to on Raw that they may have been a part of the agreement to send Brock Lesnar over from Smackdown, but that wasn’t confirmed.
