Paul Heyman Says Brock Lesnar ‘Quits’ SmackDown, Plans To Appear On Monday’s Raw
Tonight’s Smackdown kicked off with a bang as WWE Champion Brock Lesnar declared that he is quitting SmackDown.
After airing the Crown Jewel match against Cain Velasquez in its entirety, Paul Heyman said Brock Lesnar was pissed off about the attack from Rey Mysterio and is determined to get retribution.
Paul Heyman would say that he and Brock Lesnar demanded a match putting Brock Lesnar against Rey Mysterio but Vince McMahon would not allow it due to the brand split. It was at that moment that Brock Lesnar, through Paul Heyman, announced he was quitting the brand and would be showing up on Monday Night Raw to hunt the Lucha legend.

It is also worth noting that this appears to be the first step toward the official swapping of brands for the WWE Heavyweight and Universal Championships. Bray Wyatt, a SmackDown Superstar won the Universal Championship at Crown Jewel defeating Seth Rollins in a Falls Count Anywhere match.
