Dana White’s Contender Series Coming To Asia Next Year
Dana White’s Contender Series has been around for three years now, with contracts being awarded to some of the best prospects in professional MMA.
An addition is going to be made for 2020 as Dana White’s Contender Series is heading to Asia and will take place at the UFC Performance Institute in China.
“One of my favorite parts of my job is looking for up-and-coming talent,” White said in a statement (via MMA Junkie). “There’s no area in the world right now with more potential MMA talent than Asia. We’re going to use Dana White’s Contender Series to find these fighters, develop them, and give them the opportunity to perform on the biggest stage in combat sports.”
The show will remain at The Apex for the North American version, but a premier date for both versions of the program hasn’t been revealed at this time. There has been no fighters announced yet for the Asian edition of the show, but all eleven UFC weight classes are expected to be represented.
Also, much like its North American counterpart, all fights will count towards a fighters record and an unspecified amount of contracts will get handed out for each episode.
