Report: Rob Font Faces Ricky Simon At UFC Fight Night Washington DC

A bantamweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Washington DC as #10 Rob Font is in action against Ricky Simon

The Washington Post first reported the bout, but its placement on the card isn’t known at this time.

Font (16-4-0) has rotated wins and losses in his last five UFC appearances, with the latest bout being a unanimous decision win over Sergio Pettis at UFC On Fox 31. Font is going to be back in action for the first time in a year, as the UFC On Fox 31 bout took place in December of 2018. Font has suffered four losses as a professional MMA fighter and three of them came by way of decision.

Simon (15-2-0) is looking to rebound from his first loss in the UFC, which came to Urijah Faber at UFC Fight Night Sacramento. Simon has also competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 5, defeating Donavon Frelow by split decision. Simon is a former LFA Bantamweight Champion, defeating Chico Camus at LFA 29 to claim the gold.

UFC Fight Night Washington DC takes place on Saturday, December 7 from the Capitol One Arena in Washington DC with Alistair Overeem and Walt Harris headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on ESPN.
