New additions to upcoming MMA movie.

Deadline reports former WWE superstar Christian and former UFC Champions Chuck Liddell and Luke Rockhold have signed for the film “Cagefighter,” which also stars AEW wrestler Jon Moxley.

The movie follows MMA knock-out specialist Reiss Gibson (UK MMA fighter Alex Montagnani) climbing the MMA ranks before promoter Max Black (Gina Gershon) sets up a cross-promotional bout against pro wrestler Randy Stone (Moxley).

Christian has previously starred in the films “Shoot ‘Em Up” and “SuperGrid.” Liddell has been in multiple films and TV series, including “Workaholics,” “Entourage,” “Kick-Ass 2,” “A Violent Man,” and “How High.” Rockhold has no film or television credits.

Production is set to start on Nov. 1 in Saskatchewan, Canada. The film is scheduled to release in quarter two of 2020 and is being sold by UK outfit Kaleidoscope with Calgary’s Anamorphic Media financing the project.

Jesse Quinones (Calloused Hands) is writer-director on the movie. Producers include Shayne Putzlocher (Cold Brook) and Jessica Gaube of Trilight Entertainment, Sara Shaak (Girl) of Anamorphic Media, and Lorianne Hall (Shoplifters of the World).
