SmackDown Viewership Way Up Over Election Night Episode
Last night's WWE SmackDown, the special 900th episode, featuring WWE Hall of Famer Edge and the return of The Undertaker was also the final show before the Survivor Series Pay-Per-View this Sunday. It drew 2.725 million viewers, according to Show Buzz Daily. This is up almost 800,000 from last week's taped show on Election Night, which drew 1.921 million viewers. But this special episode is also up over 500,000 viewers over the last standard show, which drew 2.187 million.
SmackDown was #7 for the night in viewership, behind The O'Reilly Factor, Hannity, Tucker Carlson Tonight, The Kelly File, Special Report and The Five (which are all political shows on Fox News), and it ranked #2 in the 18-49 demographic, behind the only the Colleg Football Playoff Rankings reveal show on ESPN.
By comparison, Monday's RAW averaged 2.876 million viewers for their episode featuring a face to face between Goldberg and Brock Lesnar. This is up from last week's Raw viewership of 2.767 million.
