Conor McGregor Donates To Sick Child’s Medical Fund
Former two division UFC champion Conor McGregor has been on the wrong side of controversy throughout his professional MMA career, but the fighter has also done some good as well.
McGregor recently made a sizable donation to the medical fund of Evie Nolan, who is a one year old girl that has a rare condition called microcephaly with pontine cerebellar hypoplasia.
The Irish Mirror reports that McGregor’s donation came in the form of a pair of autographed boxing gloves, which were put up for auction and then McGregor also matched the highest bidder for the gloves.
A Go Fund Me was set up for Nolan’s medical cost and the initial goal was €60,000, but it has already raised €103,000.
Emma Nolan, who is Evie’s mother, is forever thankful to McGregor for helping with her daughter’s cause.
“It was not by any means a publicity stunt from McGregor, as he did not even want to be mentioned,” Emma said. “We can’t thank Conor enough for helping our little girl.”
There has been no comment publicly from McGregor and it is unknown if one will come at this time.
