Joey Ryan Signs With Impact Wrestling
Impact Wrestling picks up another big name in Joey Ryan.
SoCal Uncensored reported Sunday night that independent wrestling mainstay Joey Ryan had signed with Impact Wrestling. He made a return to the company in a battle royal on Bound For Glory, but had wrestled on a few co-branded shows since 2018, and even appeared at United We Stand in April.
Joey Ryan would confirm the news moments after SoCal’s report, and noted that he’s also able to keep up his independent wrestling schedule. The deal was said to be a mutli-year contract.
It made the most sense. @IMPACTWRESTLING has been the most consistent wrestling program on TV for the past 2 years, I get to keep all of my indie dates and best of all, they let me be me. https://t.co/giuGvN8Qwt

Earlier this year, there was much speculation as to whether the expanding television wrestling landscape would affect Ryan. He noted that he “chose independent wrestling” so the current incarnation of his character could continue. That incarnation was on full display during his performance at Impact Bound for Glory.
Ryan appeared for then-TNA Wrestling between 2012 and 2013.
