Bruce Prichard Shows Love To Eric Bischoff After Replacing Him On WWE SmackDown
Bruce Prichard comments on replacing Eric Bischoff.
News broke on Tuesday afternoon that Eric Bischoff had been fired from his position as Executive Director of WWE Smackdown and replaced by Bruce Prichard. WWE confirmed that Bischoff is no longer with the company.
In a comment on Twitter, Bischoff wished Prichard luck in his new role, tweeting, “Bruce is a great producer, good friend and I am certain he is going to thrive in his position. He’s going to be working with a great team of the most dedicated and hard working people I have had the pleasure of working with and getting to know.”
Prichard posted the following reply.
Much love and respect to a great businessman, creator and friend. Thanks Eric

As reported by Fightful Select, Prichard was already overseeing a pretty encompassing group of tasks, and had resumed his role as “Vince’s right-hand man.” Prichard had been more hands-on than Bischoff, and that the latter was taking time to adjust to the familiarizing himself with the roster and product. Bischoff was hired as Executive Director on June 27 but did not start on the job until July 22.
Fightful will continue to provide more details on the situation as they are known.
