Tommaso Ciampa Makes Return To NXT
More than one former NXT Champion made his return to Full Sail University.
Right before NXT went off the air, Tommaso Ciampa made a surprise return as the Undisputed Era was out celebrating Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish successfully retaining their NXT Tag Team Championship against The Street Profits. Ciampa simply looked at NXT Champion Adam Cole, who was out on the entrance ramp as the show went off the air.

This isn’t the first time a former champion returned on this show and stared down Cole. Earlier in the show, after Cole retained his title against Matt Riddle, Finn Balor made his return to the black and yellow brand and briefly got in the ring with Cole.
Ciampa has been out of action throughout most of the year and has not wrestled since the March 13 episode of NXT, but that episode was taped in February. Ciampa previously held the NXT Championship and NXT Tag Titles.
