Aljamain Sterling Undergoes Wrist Surgery, Rumored UFC 244 Bout Off
Aljamain Sterling is going to be out of action for awhile because the fighter recently underwent surgery to repair ligament damage in his wrist.
A recovering Sterling posted the following on Instagram:
The surgery halted plans for a yet to be announced bout for UFC 244 as Sterling would’ve been in action against former UFC Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar. Sterling says in the Instagram post that he wanted to fight Edgar at the event, even after the surgery, but the New York State Athletic Commission (NYSAC) wouldn’t clear the fighter in time.
