Keith Thurman discusses surgery he recently underwent for his injured left hand in the video at the top of the page.

– Matchroom Boxing Italy announced the following fights for a show in Milan on October 25:

  • Daniele Scardina vs. TBA: IBF International super middleweight title
  • Francesco Patera vs. Domenico Valentino: EBU European lightweight title
  • Maxim Prodan vs. Tony Dixon: IBF International welterweight title

– IBO super featherweight champion Terri Harper has now signed a promotional deal with Matchroom Boxing and her next fight is already announced. Harper will defend her title against Vivian Obenauf on the undercard of the Katie Taylor vs. Christina Linardatou fight taking place in Manchester on November 2.

– A very unique China vs. Japan boxing card has been announced for October 17 in Shanghai, China has been announced. The following fights were announced:

  • Wulan Tuolehazi vs. Satoshi Tanaka: WBA International flyweight title
  • Xiang Li vs. Ryu Horikawa: WBO Youth light flyweight title
  • Ayati Saiike vs. Hiroki Hanabusa
  • Yeshibolati Nasiyiwula vs. Amato Wantanabe
  • Lunjun Zhao vs. Taichi Hanada
  • Yeerlan Nuerlanbieke vs. Noboru Morita

– Former world champion Nigel Benn will hold a press conference on September 26 as talks of him making a comeback continue.

– Razaq Najib will face Jacob Robinson in the reserve fight of the MTK Global Golden Contract featherweight tournament at York Hall on October 4.

– Rising junior middleweight contender Stanyslav Skorokhod will fight Races Payano in the main event of a Lee Baxter Promotions card at the Danforth Music Hall in Toronto on October 25.
