Edson Barboza Says He Didn’t Lose To Paul Felder At UFC 242, Felder Suggests A Rubber Match
Edson Barboza and Paul Felder met in the co-main event of UFC 242, with Felder scoring a split decision win on that night.
The problem on Barboza’s side was that the fighter felt that Felder didn’t win the bout and his team plans on filing an appeal with the UFC.
Barboza is also took to Instagram to share his feelings on what went down at UFC 242:
Here is a transcript of what Barboza said in the video, provided by MMA Junkie:
“I watched the tape from my last fight, and I’m 100 percent sure I won the fight. Right now I want to sit down with my team, let’s see what’s going on and what’s going to happen in the future for me. It’s not fair. I work for UFC for almost 10 years, 22 fights and what happened last Saturday, it’s not fair with me. I have a lot of respect for my opponent, Paul. He’s a nice guy, a nice fighter. I won the fight. Everybody knows that. I want to sit down with my team, talk about my future, let’s see what happens. Thank you everybody for your messages. I will keep fighting, always. I will keep on fighting, always.”
Felder, not one to mince words, would also take to Instagram to suggest a third fight with Barboza:
There is no word yet if the UFC plans on putting the third bout together at this time or if the fighters will go their separate ways.
