Report: Julio Arce Faces Hakeem Dawodu At UFC 244

A featherweight division attraction has been added to UFC 244 according to The Canadian Press (via Marcel Dorff of MMA DNA) as Julio Arce is in action against Hakeem Dawodu.

Arce (16-3-0) has won three of four under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over the trio of Dan Ige, Daniel Teymur and Julian Erosa. Arce also competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 5, defeating Peter Petties by second round TKO. Arce has suffered a total of three losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of them came to current UFC fighters.

Dawodu (10-1-1) comes into the contest while in the midst of a three fight winning streak, defeating the trio of Austin Arnett, Kyle Bochniak and Yoshinori Horie. Dawodu has suffered just a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to Danny Henry at UFC Fight Night London. Dawodu is undefeated thus far when competing on UFC pay-per-view events, having picked up wins at UFC 231 and UFC 240.

UFC 244 takes place on Saturday, November 2 from Madison Square Garden in New York, New York with Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
