AEW Superstars Reportedly Scanned For Video Game
All Elite Wrestling has been rapidly progressing to the forefront of the wrestling industry ever since the promotion was announced on January 1, 2019.
In less than a year, the promotion has signed a television deal with WarnerMedia and presented four special events, two of which were on pay-per-view. Now, it appears that they are taking yet another step forward as it pertains to multimedia.
The latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that many of the AEW superstars were scanned for a video game last week. The report also notes that Nick Jackson has confirmed this. Many superstars including MJF and Chris Jericho were scanned. MJF shared images of his face scan on Twitter.

During the BTE Mailbag at Starrcast III, Kenny Omega, an avid video game enthusiast, confirmed that an AEW video game is top of his priority list. Omega said he wouldn’t be surprised if they announced something video game-related by the end of the year. Omega also revealed durring Starrcast III that he has been in contact with many video game developers including Koei and Namco-Bandai. Omega also mentioned that you may see the Kenny Omega character in another video game soon.
At Starrcast II (see above video) in May, Kenny Omega discussed being interested in creating a video game with the old school engine of the WWF No Mercy Nintendo 64 video game, even going so far as to discuss this on Twitter with former game developer AKI, now known as Syn Sophia.

The next stop for AEW is their TNT Network debut on Wednesday, October 2.
