WWE NXT Results for 9/4/19 Adam Cole vs Jordan Myles for the NXT Championship

The NXT Championship is on the line and The Velveteen Dream is in action against Kona Reeves tonight at 8pm EST!

Good evening Fight Fans, and welcome to our coverage of tonight’s edition of WWE NXT from Full Sail Live in Orlando, Florida!

Breezango vs Matt Martel & Chase Parker

Fandango and Matt kick off the match before Chase goes for a sunset flip that Fandango counters and hits a leg drop before Tyler hits several suplexes and reclines on the top turnbuckle. Tyler hits a deep arm drag into a straight armbar before Matt rocks him with a knee and Tyler hits an enzuigiri before he goes to tag in Fandango, but he’s dragged back. Dango comes in and drops Chase repeatedly before chopping him and hitting both of his opponents with powerslams before hitting a falcon arrow. Breezango then hit their finisher, a back stabber slingshot elbow drop for the pin and the win.

Winner:Breezango defeat a local team via pinfall.

-Jordan Myles is interviewed about his title match against Adam Cole in tonight’s main event before we see Io Shirai attacking Candice LeRae with a kendo stick before she leaves as we go to commercial.

-Cameron Grimes cuts a promo backstage about how he didn’t win the NXT Breakout Tournament and how he’s back at the bottom and that his goal is to be the champion.

Velveteen Dream vs Kona Reeves

Kona backs the North American champion into the corner for a clean break before mocking him, Dream dropkicking him and catching him with a back elbow. Kona comes back with right hands and sends Dream out onto the apron before hitting a running boot with dream draped in the ropes before he plays to the crowd. Dream shoves Kona in the corner and hits a sunset flip before Kona counters into a pin attempt and argues with the referee when she catches him holding the ropes. Dream then hits a pair of superkicks and the DVD for the pin and the win.

Winner: Velveteen Dream defeats Kona Reeves via pinfall with the Dream Valley Driver.

-After the match Roderick Strong comes out onto the stage and sets Dream’s couch on fire as we go to commercial.

-We get a recap of Rhea Ripley confronting Shayna Baszler and the Horsewomen last week and a subsequent video package, setting up a match between the two for next week.

Taynara vs Bianca Belair

Taynara goes for an armbar, but Bianca powers out and drops her with a shoulder block before dropkicking her into the corner and landing on her feet when Taynara hits a monkey flip. Taynara kicks the arm of Bianca and gets a quick two count before locking in a rear chin lock and hitting a hip toss before Bianca rolls her up for a two count. Taynara hits a bicycle knee for a near fall before hitting knees in the corner into a high knee and a triangle armbar in the ropes before Bianca is dumped out of the ring. Bianca catches Taynara and hits a fall away slam before they get back into the ring at the count of nine and Bianca hits a hand spring moonsault into a running forearm and the KOD for the pin and the win.

Winner: Bianca Belair defeats Taynara via pinfall with the KOD.

-Johnny Gargano is announced for next week’s show before William Regal announces a number one contender’s match for the NXT Women’s Championship between Bianca Belair, Mia Yim and Io Shirai for two weeks from tonight.

NXT Championship Match

Adam Cole (c) Jordan Myles

Adam backs Jordan into the corner for a clean break and takes him down with several side headlock takeovers before the high flying Myles gets to his feet and hits an arm drag into a straight armbar. Jordan dropkicks Adam out of the ring and Adam yanks him from the apron before sending him face first into the ring post and rolling him back into the ring before whipping him across the ring. Adam sends Jordan throat first into the middle rope and stomps him before hitting a knee drop and several right hands before applying a head scissor. Jordan comes back with a sweep into a basement dropkick and a tope before he rolls him back into the ring and hits a frog splash for a near fall before hitting a dead lift bridging German suplex for another near fall. Adam drops Jordan with a boot for a near fall and follows up with an enzuigiri into a back stabber for another near fall before he locks in a figure four. Jordan rolls to the ropes to break the hold before he sets Jordan on the top turnbuckle and goes for a superplex before he kicks Jordan in midair when he goes for a dive and hits an ushigaroshi for yet another near fall. Jordan the dodges the Last Shot before Adam superkicks him and hits the Last Shot for the pin and the win.

Winner: Adam Cole retains his NXT Championship by defeating Jordan Myles via pinfall with the Last Shot.
