Tyron Woodley Plans On Clearing Out The Welterweight Division

Tyron Woodley's plans don't end with Stephen "Wonderboy" Thompson tonight.

Woodley not only has his sights set on defeating Thompson at UFC 205, but he plans on clearing out the entire welterweight division during his reign as champion.

“It’s my time,” Woodley said at the UFC 205 open workouts. “I’m not losing to anybody. My last loss was my last loss. They (oddsmakers) like to fuel my fire. I’ve been the underdog my last five fights and I’ve won them. … I think (my fight is) just pure domination, pure violence. I plan on annihilating everyone in this division and I’m going to prove everyone wrong.”

Demian Maia and Donald Cerrone are the top two names left for Woodley, if he gets past Thompson. Woodley has already defeated Carlos Condit and Robbie Lawler, and Johny Hendricks, and Kelvin Gastelum have effectively removed themselves from contention via losses and missed weight.

UFC 205 takes place on Saturday, November 12 from Madison Square Garden in New York, New York with Eddie Alvarez and Conor McGregor headlining.
