WWE Denies Reported Interest In Enzo Amore & Big Cass
Realest guys in the room headed back to NXT?
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports that WWE has been in contact with Enzo Amore and Big Cass about a potential return to the company. WWE reportedly wants to bring Enzo & Cass back to NXT to be top stars on the brand. At this point, it is unknown if Enzo & Cass have accepted a deal.
WWE reached out to Meltzer and denied any interest in Enzo & Cass.
WWE says no interest in Enzo & Cass at this time. So looks like that’s not happening.

Enzo & Cass were one of the most popular duos in NXT history despite never holding the NXT Tag Team Titles. They were moved to the main roster after WrestleMania 32 and remained popular in front of a larger audience. The duo split in 2017, leading to a feud that was cut short after Cass suffered an injury. Enzo went on to win the Cruiserweight Title before he was released in January 2018 due to sexual assault allegations. Cass was released in June 2018 due to multiple backstage issues, including public intoxication.
The duo shot an angle with Ring of Honor at ROH-NJPW G1 Supercard this past April, brawling with The Briscoes in a shoot-style segment. Despite both teams, and the Guerrillas of Destiny, doing social media promos, ROH never followed up on the angle.
Cass remains active on the Independent scene while Enzo recently returned to the ring under a more somber gimmick.
NXT will begin airing live on USA Network starting on Sept. 18.
