Update On AEW On TNT’s Ticket Sales for Pittsburgh and West Virginia

As the impending Wednesday Night War between NXT on the USA Network and All Elite Wrestling on TNT begins to take shape, one of the main differences between the NXT and AEW product is that NXT will be stationary while AEW hits the road.

NXT will emanate every Wednesday from Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida. NXT has been producing its television in the same space since 2012. Meanwhile, AEW ispresenting their television show from a different city every week.

The first three AEW events scheduled for TNT, in Washington DC, Boston, and Philadelphia respectively, are all already sold out.

Concerning the most recent announced events in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Charleston, West Virginia, Dave Meltzer has provided an update their ticket sales.

The Pittsburgh date, from the Petersen Event Center,  reportedly sold around 4,000 seats on day one. In comparison to typical WWE events in Pittsburgh, they typically sell in the 6,000 to 8,000 seat range on day one.

The event in West Virginia sold about the same numbers on the first day as well and it is being touted as a success.

Before all of this, AEW must present the All Out pay-per-view extravaganza from Chicago, Illinois next Saturday. The event has already hit some bumps in the road. Learn more about that here.
