Dan Hardy Says He Is Reentering The USADA Testing Pool
Dan Hardy hasn’t competed in over six years, with his last bout being a unanimous decision win over Amir Sadollah at UFC On Fuel TV V.
The British born striker may be preparing for a comeback as Hardy says he has reentered the USADA testing pool.
“Right now what I’m going to do is get back in the USADA testing pool,” Hardy said on The Joe Rogan Experience MMA Show (via Nolan King of MMA Junkie). “I have to be in the pool for four months. Once I’m in the pool for four months, then I have the option to fight if I choose to.”
There was no USADA issued drug testing the last time that Hardy fought, so their testing process is going to be new for him.
One thing that Hardy believes could be a problem with the USADA testing is that he is constantly traveling around the globe.
“The problem is that I’m on the road all the time,” Hardy said. “The conversation I’ve had with Jeff Novitsky is … I don’t know exactly how it works, but as far as I know you have to give (USADA) three addresses. These are the places you’re most likely to be at. And if you’re not at any of those places, you have to let them know where you are. I’m always in a different place.”
Hardy also said during the appearance on The Joe Rogan MMA Experience that he’ll have to best tested for four months before being cleared to return to action.
