Report: Jon Manley Faces Thiago Rela At Bellator 225
A catchweight division attraction has been added to Bellator 225 according to Nolan King of MMA Junkie as Jon Manley is going to be in action against Thiago Rela.
Manley (9-5-0) enters the contest while in the midst of a three fight losing streak and he hasn’t earned a victory in over four years. Manley also competed once before in the UFC, which was a loss to Neil Magny at UFC 157 in February of 2013. Manley has suffered five losses as a professional MMA fighter and four of those defeats came by way of decision.
Rela (10-7-0) is going to be making his Bellator MMA debut in this bout and does so having won just one of the last five bouts heading into this encounter. Rela is also competing for the first time in over a year, with that last bout coming at Cage Fury Fighting Championship 70 in March of 2018. Rela has picked up ten wins as a professional MMA fighter and nine of those victories came by way of submission.
Bellator 225 takes place on Saturday, August 24 from the Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, Connecticut with Matt Mitrione and Sergei Kharitonov headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
