Report: Antonio Rogerio Nogueira Faces Trevor Smith At UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo
A light heavyweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo according to Combate as Antonio Rogerio Nogueira is going to be in action against Trevor Smith.
Nogueira (23-9-0) has won just two of his last six under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over the duo of Patrick Cummins and Sam Alvey. Nogueira is competing in Brazil for the sixth straight UFC bout, holding a record of 2-3-0 in those previous five encounters. Nogueira is the brother of Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, who is a former UFC Interim Heavyweight Champion.
Smith (15-9-0) enters the contest while in the midst of a two fight losing streak, dropping bouts to the duo of Elias Theodorou and Zak Cummings. Smith is making his UFC Light Heavyweight Division debut in this encounter, having previously competed at middleweight. Smith has seen his last six professional MMA bouts go to a decision and it has been over seven years since the fighter got a finish.
