Matt Riddle Describes Incident With Goldberg; Critiques Match During WWE SummerSlam Watch Along
Matt Riddle continues feud with Goldberg.
During tonight’s WWE Watch Along, Matt Riddle had the pleasure of watching Goldberg’s match with Dolph Ziggler from the backstage area. And fans had the pleasure of watching Riddle critique Goldberg’s performance. But before Goldberg came to the ring, Riddle revealed that he ran into the former WCW Champion backstage and the two are set to meet again, a little later.
“I’m walking by, and I see his locker room. I’m trying to get a peek, and I’m looking, I’m looking. All of a sudden [hand smacks shoulder], big shoulder, 300 pounds at least. I look up; it’s Bill Goldberg. He goes, ‘we got some talking to do.’ ‘We can talk anytime.’ ‘Yeah?’ ‘Yeah. Alright, bro, we can talk anytime.’ He’s like, ‘I’m not your bro.’ I’m like, ‘Alright bro, take it easy, whatever.’ He’s like, ‘We’ll see, I’ll see you later. It was a pleasure meeting you.’ ‘The pleasure was all mine, bro.’ Then he goes, ‘I’m not your bro.’ Then I walked away.”

During Goldberg’s match with Ziggler, Riddle was asked how long he expected it to go. Riddle replied, “If they’re playing to Goldberg’s strengths, one minute. If they wanna see Matt Riddle get juicy, they’re going at least 10.”
When Goldberg dropped Ziggler with the Jackhammer, Riddle said, “I’ve been using the Jackhammer recently in my matches, and I’ve been doing it way better than he ever could. It’s the Brohammer now.”
Riddle joked that he was hoping Goldberg’s match would go a bit longer so he would be blown up during their meeting later on. Goldberg would return to the ring two more times, and Riddle was hoping they could settle things right there.
“Now I gotta have a talk with Billy. I wish he’d grab the mic and go ‘Bro, get out here.'”
Riddle would leave the Watch Along set following Goldberg’s match.
The beef between Riddle and Goldberg heated up prior to WWE Super ShowDown when Riddle was blocked by Goldberg on social media after critiquing his wrestling. Following Goldberg’s match against The Undertaker, Riddle called Goldberg “the worst wrestler in the business.”
