Billy Corgan Announces NWA Television Series; Tapings In Atlanta On September 30th & October 1st
NWA is joining the fray in October.
Billy Corgan, who is the owner of the National Wrestling Alliance announced via a video that is up on the NWA YouTube channel that starting this Fall, the NWA will be kick-starting its own series. It was revealed that on September 30th and October 1st, the organization will host tapings in Atlanta.
NWA was set to be a part of Ring Of Honor’s forthcoming Summer Supercard show in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Nick Aldis was slated to defend the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship against a member of Villain Enterprises (Marty Scurll, PCO, Brody King or Flip Gordon) but it was first reported by PWInsider that the partnership between the NWA and Ring Of Honor came to an end and that resulted in Aldis being pulled from Summer Supercard.
In the announcement video, Corgan thanked Ring Of Honor for allowing NWA to be represented at their shows but added that it is time for the National Wrestling Alliance to stand on its own. This Fall, the NWA will join WWE, AEW, ROH and IMPACT as weekly wrestling programs.
