Jerry Lawler Filing Wrongful Death Lawsuit Against Hardeman County Over The Death Of Brian Christopher
Jerry Lawler is taking legal action against Hardeman County.
WWE Hall Of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler is filing a wrongful death lawsuit against Hardeman County and the Sheriff, following the passing of Brian Christopher Lawler in the Summer of 2018 according to WMC Action News 5. Jerry Lawler filed the lawsuit on July 26th and is seeking damages for “numerous failures of the county and its employees” that led to the death of Brian Christopher Lawler. Jerry and his lawyer Jeffrey Rosenblum are holding a press conference today to further address the lawsuit.
Brian Christopher Lawler passed away on July 29th of 2018. It was initially reported by Pro Wrestling Sheet that Brian Christopher was rushed to a local hospital in Tennessee after an attempted suicide at the Hardeman County jail.
A few weeks after Brian Christopher’s passing, Jerry Lawler and his lawyer questioned the reports about how Brian Lawler died. Jerry stated the following over his ‘Dinner With The King’ podcast last Summer:
“There’s more to this than we can really talk about now. A lot of people have expressed , as I have, doubts as to whether Brian actually did commit suicide,” said Jerry Lawler. “We’ve been contacted by inmates that were in the jail with Brian who said they don’t believe what was told is exactly what happened…I probably shouldn’t say anymore because this investigation is going to be on-going and it may take a long time to get this all sorted out.”
