Report: Battlefield FC Doesn’t Pay Their Fighters After Battlefield FC II

There was a lot of great MMA action to check out this past weekend, but one of the better cards may have been Battlefield FC 2. The card was loaded with a lot of big name MMA veterans, including Will Brooks, Gleison Tibau, Jan Finney, Bryan Caraway, Ricardo Tirloni, DJ Linderman and more.

While the action was plentiful at Battlefield FC II, one thing that wasn’t plentiful was the paychecks, because the promotions has reportedly failed to pay the fighters who competed at the event.

Daniel Rubsenstein, who manages some of the fighters who competed on the card, told The Body Lock via text message that his clients weren’t paid and that a statement on the matter was given to the authorities.

“Neither Caraway or Bruno Miranda have been paid yet. Calls and text to Tommy [Yang] the promoter have gone unanswered,” wrote Rubenstein. “Cops were called, took a statement, but wouldn’t force the hotel to give up their room numbers.”

Linderman and Tirloni also commented on the matter via Twitter:

Rubenstein also went on Twitter, showing a message he got from a matchmaker that worked the Battlefield FC II card:

This isn’t the first time that Battlefield FC failed to pay their fighters, as UFC veterans Sarah Kaufman and Jessica-Rose Clark were among the competitors who weren’t paid a few years back for working the inaugural event.
