Cyborg Not Surprised By Dana White’s Recent Comments

Former UFC Women’s Featherweight Champion Cyborg will face Felicia Spencer in the co-main event of UFC 240.

UFC President Dana White recently stated that Cyborg is afraid to lose to Amanda Nunes again, but Cyborg isn’t too shocked by what was said by White.

“You think I’m surprised when Dana says things like this? I’m not,” Cyborg said to TMZ Sports (via MMA Fighting). “I’m gonna be surprised if Dana White says something nice for me. It’s not new for me. And just challenge, I go over there and do my best. Dana White’s never stepped in the cage. He never fight before, he doesn’t know the fighter life because he’s the promoter.”

White recently stated that he is willing to offer Cyborg a one fight deal if she does want a rematch with Nunes.

Cyborg doesn’t seem focused on either White or Nunes at the moment, instead putting all her attention on UFC 240.

“I fight Saturday and after Saturday, for sure I’m going to ask any question the media has for me. I think I have to it a step at a time, focus now on Saturday, my next fight, and my fans know who I am. My fans know if I’m scared. I’m going to [get through this fight] and then talk to media,” says Cyborg.

UFC 240 takes place on Saturday, July 27 from Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada with Max Holloway and Frankie Edgar headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
