Report: PFL Season 2, Week 4 Brings In The Highest Viewership Of The Season

This past weekend, MMA fans were treated to a three pack of events in the form of PFL Season 2, Week 4, Bellator 224 and UFC Fight Night Sacramento. Of those three events, two aired on TV (PFL and Bellator MMA), while the UFC show streamed on ESPN+.

PFL kicked off everything on Thursday Night, headlined by a welterweight division bout between Magomed Magomedkerimov and Chris Curtis. That show brought in a total of 227,000 viewers according to MMA Fighting, which is the highest viewership number for the PFL on ESPN 2. Other fights on the main card saw Kayla Harrison defeat Morgan Frier, John Howard defeat Ray Cooper III and Joao Zeferino defeat Bojan Velickovic.

Bellator 224 took place the following night with a four fight card on the Paramount Network, with women’s featherweight champion Julia Budd defeating Olga Rubin in the main event, and that brought in an average of 325,000 viewers. Other bouts on the main card saw Rafael Carvalho defeat Chidi Njokuani, Juliana Velasquez defeat Kristina Williams and Ed Ruth defeat Kiichi Kunimoto.

The PFL and Bellator MMA are off this weekend, but the UFC is back on ESPN this Saturday Night with UFC Fight Night San Antonio, featuring former UFC Lightweight Champion Rafael Dos Anjos and Leon Edwards in the main event.
